While at Mizzou, senior Corey has actively engaged in research in the fields of physics and engineering. He has won two awards, including a national one from the American Physical Society, for his physics presentations, and is finalizing the publication of a paper in the coming months. He was awarded the MizzouForward training grant for his work in his senior year. Corey also was president of the Civil Engineering Steel Bridge team for two years, where he led the team to its first national visit in several years. After college, he is exploring careers that will combine both his interests of physics and engineering in industry with plans to return to academia one day. Corey’s favorite hobbies are cooking, reading and a playing variety of sports.
