Biography
Ashley Dodson, CPA, earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Accountancy at Mizzou. She is pursuing her doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis.
After graduating in 2014, Ashley pursued a career in public accounting, specializing in audits of higher education and government entities. She began her teaching career at Westminster College as assistant professor of accounting in 2019, where she also taught Freshman Seminar and worked closely with the director of First Year Experience.
Ashley has presented her scholarly work on the pedagogy of leadership and first-year students at regional conferences including those hosted by the American Culture Association, International Studies Association and Missouri Association of Accounting Educators.
As Westminster’s director of leadership studies, she oversaw the design and implementation of the leadership curriculum and simultaneously directed the Hancock Symposium, the university’s signature event that features keynote speakers including world leaders, former U.S. Presidents and Secretaries of State.
Ashley currently serves as coordinator of Mizzou 101, a course focused on facilitating the transition of first-year students into Mizzou.
