The 2023 Visual Art and Design Showcase is a venue for Mizzou undergraduate students to display and discuss their scholarly work. The works of approximately 50 students will be on display and will feature a variety of artistic expression and applied design, including works of photojournalism, graphic design, architectural drawing, theater set design, painting, sculpting, textile and apparel design, mixed media, and digital storytelling.
The showcase will include experts in the fields of visual art and applied design. All of the students’ work will be on display through the MU Libraries website and $8,000 in professional development funds will be awarded to the most outstanding student work.
The winning projects will be displayed in person April 11–23, 2022, at the Columbia Art League, and the winning films will be featured one night April 18–21, at Ragtag Cinema — both in downtown Columbia.
